Adulis Travel Terms and Conditions

Please read the Terms and Conditions of this Customer Agreement carefully before making reservations or purchasing a tour or tour-related products listed on Adulis This Agreement will help you completely understand the rights and responsibilities of both yourself and Adulis travel.

By becoming an Adulis customer, you agree that you have read, understand and agree with the following Terms and Conditions and give irrevocable consent to be bound by all said Terms and Conditions, including any updates. Adulis Travel has the right to change the Terms and Conditions, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice. Adulis Travel encourages you to print out a copy of this Agreement to review and bring it with you on your trip.

Your Eligibility

You must be an individual, 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you may use Adulis only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Your Responsibility

Before making reservations, it is your responsibility to read the fine print associated with your desired product. Still, not limited to the following sections: Pricing and its notice, Tour Itinerary, Package Includes, Package Excludes, Cancellation and Refund Policy, Terms and Conditions, Special Note, etc. And you herein state that you have read and fully understand the content of all fine print and will waive the right to dispute any part of it after your purchase.

Once you have completed your reservation, the customer’s responsibility is to keep all contact information up-to-date.

Standard Reservation Process and E-Ticket

  1. Immediately after submitting your reservation/order, you will receive a Receipt of the Reservation by email. This Receipt of Reservation does not guarantee seat availability.
  2. Within one to two business days of submitting payment for your reservation/order, you will be notified via email of your reservation’s confirmation.
  3. An E-Ticket will be sent to you via email after confirming your reservation and all requirements and arrangements have been finalized for your tour. Tour details and contact information will be included in your E-Tickets for convenience and reconfirmation purposes.
  4. Print out your E-Ticket and present it with your valid photo ID to your tour guide or at the check-in desk on the day of your departure.
Privacy and Data Collection is the sole owner of the information collected on this website. We will not sell or share this information with any outside parties except as outlined in this policy. collects information from our users at several points on our website to process reservations and better serve you with pertinent information. Information collected includes name, shipping address, billing address, telephone numbers, email address and payment information such as credit card. also requires you to submit a username and password for future access to your information. Your username and password remain confidential, and you should not share this information with anyone. Adulis travel’s information practices are further described in its Privacy Policy. Adulis travel’s Privacy Policy is part of this Agreement. You agree that the use of data as described in the Privacy Policy is not an actionable breach of your privacy or publicity rights.

Travel Insurance

Adulis travel strongly recommends that our clients take out insurance to cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, luggage, etc. Adulis travel does not currently offer travel insurance. Adulis travel shall be relieved of all liability in the event of an accident resulting in, but not limited to, loss or damage to property, personal injury, death during travel, delays, irregularities or other events beyond its control.

Tour Amendments and Cancellation

Adulis Travel does its best to ensure that all arrangements are as planned. However, in order to ensure safe and secure tours, we reserve the right to make changes, including altering, postponing and cancelling tours due to weather, transportation, riots and many other uncontrollable circumstances. We also reserve the right to cancel the tour before departure and refund the payment if there are insufficient participants to form a group.


Tours are accompanied by professional English or bilingual/multilingual guides and/or driver guides. In order to meet the linguistic needs of the majority of passengers on a coach tour. You are responsible for informing us of your language needs when you book the tour online. 

Visa and Travel permit

You are responsible for obtaining any travel documents and/or verifying entry requirements necessary for each country of travel and/or transit on your selected tour itinerary.

Adulis Travel can help arrange all the necessary paperwork for your visa application. Contact your nearest Eritrean Embassy for more information.
Suppose you do not live in a country with an Eritrean Embassy. In that case, Adulis Travel can help you secure the visa on arrival. Scan and send us the front page of your passport, and we will arrange a visa in advance so that you can collect it on your arrival at Asmara Airport. For this type of visa, the fee is $70USD and is payable at the airport when you arrive.
All foreign nationals must obtain Travel permits for travel more than 25 km outside of Asmara. Regarding the travel permit, we provide free support and assistance in the process for all our customers.

 It would be best if you strictly abode by the laws and regulations promulgated by the government of the visiting country, including but not limited to immigration and Customs Laws and Regulations. Adulis travel will not be responsible for any penalties due to your failure to abide by any government regulations of the visiting country.

Pricing, Amendment, Cancellation and Refund Policy

Please be aware all prices are offered in the currency of United States Dollars. Prices may vary due to availability. For example, prices may increase during holidays. All prices are subject to confirmation.

Payment for the tour is a fundamental part of the tour’s income and contributes to the overall cost of equipment, running costs, staffing, administration, etc. If the Company has incurred most of its costs before the tour starts, we need to impose cancellation charges to cover these costs.

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel your booking, we will impose cancellation charges as follows:

  • 30 days or more, 100% of the Deposit will be refunded
  • 15 – 30 days, 100% of the Deposit will be refunded
  • 8 – 15 days, 80% of the Tour Cost will be refunded
  • 1 – 7 days 100% of Tour Cost will not refund

All cancellations must be in writing and made by the person who submitted the booking form. Please send an email to your contact at the Company.

Once the tour has started, no refund for any unused portion or portion of the tour or services to be provided will be given. If you want to make any changes to the tour or depart the tour early, such alteration or departure will be entirely at your own expense and liability. You will also need to communicate in writing to Adulis Travel about your reason for leaving the tour.

Medical Conditions, Pregnancy and Travel

Assume you have a medical condition or are pregnant and are thinking of travelling. In this case, you must consult your doctor before travelling, especially if the condition requires routine daily care, emergency care or if your pregnancy is a high-risk situation. You are responsible for disclosing all related information to us during the check-out process by adding specific comments. You understand that Adulis travel is unable to provide medical services or emergency care if such action may be required. You are responsible for all risks, incidents or consequences that occur during the trip. We strongly recommend that you purchase medical and travel insurance before travel.

Disabilities and Travel

We embrace all people, regardless of colour or physical condition. We are exploring more travel products to accommodate this special population; however, not all the travel products we currently offer include special accommodations.

You are responsible for verifying with us before you book travel to ensure that special arrangements can be made if it is required for your needs. Adulis travel is not liable for any incidences or consequences incurred during the trip or complaints or lawsuits during or after the journey due to your failure to inform us of your particular needs. You also have the responsibility to reconfirm with us. After we reserve seats for you, special accommodation will be provided as you requested.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Adulis travel uses reasonable efforts to have accurate, complete and current information on our website. However, since travel and tour rates are constantly changing, we do not warrant that all information is up-to-date or free of technical or typographical errors. The user’s responsibility is to verify any information before relying on it.

We reserve the right to make changes and updates to any information contained within this site without prior notice. Access to and use of this website and the content is at the user’s risk. We have provided links to other websites solely for your convenience in certain instances. 

Adulis travel does not maintain or control these sites, and we are not responsible for their content. It is up to you to take precautions to ensure that whatever you select for your use is free of such items as viruses, bugs, worms, cancelbots, Trojan horses and other items of a harmful or destructive nature.
